Welcome to the members area for Salopian Fly Fishers Association.
At the January 2016 committee meeting it was agreed that rather than have a “season” the year will run from January through till the end of December, this was felt necessary as for in previous years we have been able to allow the taking of fish throughout the year as the amount of fish taken has dropped significantly since the maximum was reduced from 4 fish per visit at both fisheries to a maximum of 4 fish per week.
Would members please park carefully on the new Worfe car park in herring bone
fashion if at all possible.it is important to leave room for Mr and Mrs Leary to get off their
driveway and out of the car park entrance – please don’t block their
drive. If the car park is too crowded please park either on the school car
park or in the street by the Dog Inn.we thank you for your consideration for Worfield residents at all times.
River Worfe working parties have been busy see here > Another Working party is scheduled for 1st April. all welcome to see the work assist with final works and familiarise yourself with the beat.
The Annual stocking programme has begun at Brineton and Boldings,This year we will continue to stock monthly through till December,we may have to postpone some stocking in the warmer summer months, any shortfalls will be made up later in the year.
The River Worfe will be stocked with 200 Browns on the Rochelle beat and 300 Browns on the new double bank beat on the 6th May.
